Macrumors is reporting that Apple is selling the old version of Final Cut Pro again.
This is the right move. While I’ve written about Apple’s motivations behind Final Cut Pro X, and how it is a technologically better piece of software that more people can use, many pros need FCP7 and can’t upgrade until FCPX gets missing features.
Jeremy and I talked about how we like the direction that FCPX is heading in, but that we also realize that for many people, FCPX is not there yet. It’s a great foundation, but there is still much work to be done.
